It's always the same...when it's coming up to Christmas I get the same old quandry about what to get everyone for Christmas. Shopping! We love it and hate it. The longer we leave it, the worse it gets, as the shops become more and more crowded. One good thing about being a late shopper.....you get the bargains! Can't wait for Christmas :)
Yesterday my two daughters arrived. Oh Joy! Just thrilled to see them as it's been a while because I am in England for the moment. So much work to do but they get preference for the four days they are here. Thank goodness for Skype and I can see them every day.
I have just made a new group to share movies. Some are with subtitles but I try to avoid them when I can. YouTube is my chosen source for sharing and they have a great collection. Most of them are in parts but this is a good thing as it makes sure you don't get an overload of English if you want just a little. You can always go back to the movie for more practice.
What are we supposed to do when the weather is nice? Get out! That's what. Sunny days are to be made the most of. Even if we are stuck in the office for most of the time, have your lunch break outside. Grab a sandwich and a drink and go to the nearest nice spot to soak up the warm sun. There is, of course, a problem with this philosophy if you live in a hot climate. Then you have to be innovative and choose a shady spot. Either way, outside is preferrable to inside. I am going to make the most of today by going for a walk round a nearby lake. I might even share my lunch with the ducks.
